What you will do

• Perform independent evaluations of programs and systems to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, GAO standards, and applicable guidelines
• Identify operational risks, control gaps, and vulnerabilities
• Plan and execute review engagements
• Analyze documentation, data, and process flows
• Prepare findings and recommendations, and produce clear written reports and briefings for client leadership
• Coordinate with client offices across multiple facilities and support corrective action follow-up

Requirements

• Location: On-site in Alexandria, VA
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (major in accounting or related field)
• At least 5 years of experience conducting internal control assessments and operational risk reviews
• Strong communication and software application skills
• Federal employee or federal contractor experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal financial processes, systems, and internal controls preferred

Nice to have

• CPA, CGFM, or PMP certification
