Senior Auditor, Food Safety

Location: Remote within the United States; the position may be located anywhere in the U.S. Travel up to 80% is required, including automobile and air travel; some international travel and weekend travel may be necessary.

Salary: USD 87,000–100,000 annually

What you will do

• Perform third-party certification audits in accordance with hirify.global procedures and applicable food safety standards.
• Audit against standards including FSSC22000, SQF, and BRC.
• Collect and analyze audit evidence to determine whether certification should be recommended or continued.
• Apply the hirify.global Certification System and maintain audit-related credentials.
• Collaborate with auditors and participate in witness audits conducted by hirify.global or accreditation bodies.
• Assist with training other Auditors and Senior Auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or bioscience.
• 5+ years of work experience and qualification as a Lead Auditor for FSSC, BRC, and/or SQF.
• At least 5 years of proven management experience in the food industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety management system coordination.
• Strong technical knowledge of applicable food safety standards, with excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Highest advanced level of English required.
