What you will do

• Develop secure APIs and cloud-native services for DHA systems.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to normalize structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate healthcare data into FHIR and OMOP standards for analytics and decision support.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to deploy applications in secure, high-compliance cloud environments.
• Ensure software is scalable, compliant, and maintainable while enabling rapid delivery.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher required.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering (backend, API, or full-stack).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with REST APIs (FastAPI, AWS Lambda) and OpenAPI specifications.
• Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, HIPAA, FISMA High).

Nice to have

• Prior work with DHA, VA, or federal healthcare IT programs.
• Experience with FHIR, OMOP, HL7, CDA, or other healthcare data standards.
• Familiarity with OCR, NLP, AI/ML workflows for healthcare data.
• Exposure to AWS GovCloud (IL5/IL6) or secure cloud environments.
