Location: Must be based in Scotland

Salary: £132,000 – £240,000

What you will do

• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to design and implement real-time applications.
• Architect scalable solutions for voice AI, real-time media, and developer platform use cases.
• Build prototype integrations and reference implementations to accelerate customer development.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
• Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions with developers.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++.
• Experience working across APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with customer engineering teams.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, low-process environments.
• Must be based in Scotland.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebRTC, real-time media, or telephony/SIP infrastructure.
• Familiarity with voice AI, conversational agents, or AI infrastructure.
• Previous experience in customer-facing engineering roles like Solutions or Field Engineer.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
