What you will do

• Co-found and shape the new AI engineering team in the Netherlands.
• Train and fine-tune LLMs and SLMs for communication and trade surveillance.
• Architect training pipelines integrated with data capture platforms.
• Optimize inference pipelines for cost-efficient, large-scale AI delivery.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI techniques like RAG and agentic workflows.
• Ensure model explainability and auditability to meet strict regulatory standards.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Solid experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• Proven experience in training or fine-tuning LLMs and SLMs.
• Strong NLP foundations including sequence classification, NER, or RAG.
• Familiarity with ML infrastructure, GPU clusters, and MLOps.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
