What you will do
- Own strategically significant work streams end-to-end, ensuring high-impact outcomes.
- Lead and dynamically reconfigure engineering teams to solve emerging priorities with startup speed.
- Mentor and accelerate staff and senior engineers to grow leadership capacity.
- Partner with the Engineering Director on pillar-level strategy and investment decisions.
- Drive an AI-first engineering culture by pushing the boundaries of AI-assisted development.
- Maintain technical credibility by reviewing architectures and ensuring high standards.
Requirements
- Must be based in London or able to work from the London office at least 3 days per week.
- Proven experience as an exceptional people leader who remains personally action-oriented.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to challenge strategy and identify gaps.
- Experience operating at significant scale with large distributed systems.
- Demonstrated AI fluency and active experimentation with AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse stakeholders.
