What you will do

• Lead the DataOps function to drive operational maturity, platform reliability, and process improvements.
• Manage and mentor offshore engineering resources, providing technical guidance and delivery oversight.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize data solution delivery.
• Own intake, prioritization, and execution processes for DataOps requests and operational support.
• Serve as operational owner for key platforms including Airflow, Airbyte, and Looker.
• Coordinate incident management, root cause analysis, and operational readiness efforts.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, New York
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or coordinating offshore/vendor resources.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering architectures and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Airbyte, or DBT.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, specifically with BigQuery.

Nice to have

• Experience administering compliance auditing for Looker or BigQuery.
• Experience building and scaling DataOps or platform operations functions.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or self-service analytics initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
