Business Development Manager (Publishing)

Location: Must be based in or within a commutable distance to Philadelphia, PA, USA (Hybrid: 3x per week in office)

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 + bonus (30% to 100% of base)

What you will do

• Drive Open Research revenue by engaging key prospects in the Americas market.
• Develop sustainable plans and identify new products and services to meet customer needs.
• Build relationships with institutions, funders, and research centers to protect and grow revenue.
• Partner with internal Sales Support and Academic Sales divisions on new agreements and renewals.
• Expand revenue from non-traditional customers such as NGOs, think-tanks, and research centers.
• Promote the company's position in the Open Research community through conferences and presentations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a publishing sales environment, including business development and lead generation.
• Considerable knowledge of the Open Science/Research space and the scholarly ecosystem.
• Strong networking and communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and deliver on sales plans and targets.
• Must have the right to live and work in the US.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Philadelphia, PA.
