Data Associate - Marketing Analytics (Fintech)

Location: Remote from any location; a downtown Chicago office is also available.

What you will do

• Monitor marketing funnel metrics, channel performance, and reporting deviations to identify root causes.
• Analyze defined business problems with SQL and Python, quantify drop-off drivers, and provide recommendations based on business tradeoffs.
• Build and maintain reusable dbt models in Snowflake for marketing reporting.
• Develop Periscope dashboards, charts, and metrics that improve funnel visibility.
• Communicate concise recommendations to senior management and partner with Marketing, Risk, and Engineering on strategy changes and post-release analysis.
• Use AI tools while independently validating their logic and output, and support junior analysts through knowledge sharing, code review, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of data analytics experience.
• Advanced SQL skills, relational database experience, and query authoring ability.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with multiple databases.
• Ability to work critically with AI/LLM tools and independently verify and correct their output.
• Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
