TL;DR
Electrical Design Engineer (Automotive): Developing hardware and electrical designs for automotive sensors, microphones, and audio electronics with an accent on circuit analysis, PCB layout, simulation, and validation testing. Focus on leading hardware development through the full product lifecycle, solving component end-of-life issues, and coordinating technical work with international customers.
Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work with most office-based roles onsite three days a week
Annual gross base salary: HUF 11,709,000–17,173,200

What you will do
- Design hardware and electrical systems for automotive sensors, microphones, and audio electronics.
- Analyze hardware requirements, perform circuit analysis, and create schematics and PCB layouts in Mentor.
- Develop microphone electronics using simulation tools and support prototype and customer sample builds.
- Perform audio and general electronics measurements and support design verification and validation testing.
- Create product documentation, test instructions, specifications, test reports, and competitor investigations.
- Lead hardware development through the full product lifecycle and act as a technical contact for international customers and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in analog and digital electronic development, preferably in audio electronics.
- Practical experience with audio electronics, basic knowledge of microphone acoustics, simulation tools, and EMC.
- Experience with Mentor CAD schematic and layout entry, including component library management.
- Ability to write technical reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good spoken and written English is required.

- Background in microphones, audio technology, and audio architecture.
- Experience with automotive standards.
- Familiarity with using AI to support efficiency, problem-solving, and quality.
