What you will do
- Provide strategic leadership for design research aligned with hardware, product, and organizational priorities.
- Scale early-stage research initiatives using mixed-methods to drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of senior researchers to foster professional growth and craft.
- Act as a senior individual contributor on complex research initiatives related to physical product development.
- Own relationships with external research vendors, including scoping and ensuring high-quality execution.
- Communicate complex research insights clearly to cross-functional partners and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Design Research, UX Research, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience conducting user research for physical products (hardware, health, or consumer electronics).
- 2+ years of people management experience, including coaching and performance development.
- Strong mixed-methods background applying qualitative and quantitative approaches to real-world products.
- Experience working within hardware development lifecycles.
- Commitment to leveraging AI tools to maintain high-quality standards in daily tasks.
