Senior CloudOps Database Engineer (AWS/PostgreSQL/MariaDB): Designing and optimizing high-scale database infrastructure and automation on AWS with an accent on performance tuning and system reliability. Focus on eliminating technical debt, improving observability, and scaling platform infrastructure for AI-powered products.

Location: Hybrid in Dublin, Ireland

Salary: €12,000–€100,000 per year

What you will do

Tune large-scale PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments running on AWS.
Develop automation using Python and Shell to replace manual operational tasks.
Enhance platform performance, reliability, and observability.
Manage infrastructure utilizing Docker, ECS, GitHub Actions, Datadog, and CloudWatch.
Identify and remove technical debt to ensure system scalability.
Contribute to the infrastructure supporting a new generation of AI-powered products.

Requirements

Deep experience with large-scale AWS infrastructure.
Proven expertise in tuning PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments.
Strong proficiency in automation with Python and Shell.
Experience with Docker, ECS, and GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.
Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Dublin, Ireland.
