Lead Cloud Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland. Candidates must have current and unrestricted work authorization in Ireland; visa sponsorship and work authorization support are not available.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize highly available cloud infrastructure for stability, scale, and performance.
• Build and maintain production microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain continuous integration infrastructure, including build, test, package, and deployment pipelines.
• Automate operational processes and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to align cloud strategy, tools, and best practices with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance, code and work reviews, and mentorship to cloud engineering team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience deploying SaaS products across major cloud providers, especially Azure and GCP.
• 4+ years of experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes, observability, SecOps, cloud-native systems, and Unix-like systems administration.
• Experience with databases and data infrastructure such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Redis, and Kafka.
