What you will do

• Evaluate emerging AI and automation capabilities to inform solution decisions based on data and evidence.
• Design and develop data pipelines and technical components to enable agentic AI automation tooling.
• Build secure, resilient, and maintainable data engineering solutions for both experimentation and scaling.
• Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and project managers to translate requirements into valuable solutions.
• Uphold high engineering standards in data quality, governance, and documentation.

Requirements

• Experience designing and delivering LLM-based workflows, pipelines, and platform components.
• Proficiency in Python and demonstrable use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (including Infrastructure as Code), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to solve business or user problems.
• Must be based in or able to work from Salford, UK.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with API frameworks like FastAPI.
• Experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI) and managed services (Bedrock, Azure).
• Understanding of enterprise automation toolsets such as Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
• Strong academic background or research credentials in AI or data engineering.
