What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Medical Management Specialists to achieve performance and quality outcomes.
• Oversee the assessment and approval of medical, like-service, and surgical requests in line with WorkSafe legislation and industry guidelines.
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and identify development opportunities.
• Act as the escalation point for complex medical management matters.
• Partner with Medical Advisors, treating health practitioners, claims leaders, and internal stakeholders to support treatment and recovery pathways.
• Drive process efficiencies, continuous improvement, compliance, service quality, and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Leadership experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury, or insurance.
• Strong understanding of medical management, return-to-work practices, and WorkSafe legislation.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership style focused on continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
