Executive / Senior Medical Director, Early Clinical Development (Oncology)

What you will do

• Provide medical leadership and oversight for Phase I–III clinical studies in Australia, aligned with global scientific and development strategies.
• Support site identification, site document review, informed consent form adaptation, HREC submissions, regulatory applications, and study amendments.
• Represent the medical function during site visits and collaborate with investigators, clinical operations, and study teams.
• Work with CROs, laboratories, pharmacovigilance, biometrics, and other cross-functional partners to execute regional and global studies.
• Review and summarize clinical safety and efficacy data and contribute to protocols, clinical documents, and trial materials.
• Contribute to the TPOR program, early-phase strategy, study design, and relationships with key opinion leaders and investigators.

Requirements

• M.D. degree with clinical development experience in oncology and/or immunology/autoimmunity; 8+ years of experience for the executive level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Experience engaging clinical investigators and managing external partnerships.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be based in Australia for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Board certification or eligibility in oncology, hematology, dermatology, immunology, or another immunology/autoimmunity-related specialty.
• Prior pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
