What you will do

• Chair the Corporate Compliance Committee and lead cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Engineering, Product, and Security.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and controls tailored to Health IT risks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments regarding HIPAA, HITECH, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and FDA regulations.
• Establish an annual compliance work plan including targeted auditing, monitoring, and data analytics to detect aberrant patterns.
• Oversee the creation and delivery of compliance training for employees, executives, and board members.
• Advise senior leadership on the evolving healthcare regulatory landscape and integrate compliance into business operations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mountain View, CA or willing to work on-site.
• 6-10+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance leadership, preferably in Health IT or SaaS.
• Expert knowledge of U.S. healthcare regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, and federal data privacy laws.
• Proven ability to implement effective compliance programs and corrective action plans.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or relevant Master’s degree (MBA/MHA) strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
• Experience with FDA regulations for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
• Familiarity with ONC Cures Act Final Rule requirements.
