Director of Compliance (AI Healthcare)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 base salary annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, implement, oversee, and continuously improve the corporate compliance program.
• Chair the Corporate Compliance Committee and coordinate with Legal, Human Resources, Engineering, Product, Security, and Sales.
• Conduct risk assessments and establish annual audit and monitoring plans for Health IT compliance risks.
• Develop corrective action plans, policies, procedures, controls, and compliance metrics for senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
• Lead compliance training for employees, executives, board members, and key vendors, and manage the compliance hotline.
• Advise leadership on evolving healthcare regulations and promote ethical, compliant business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a JD or relevant master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• 6–10 years of healthcare regulatory and compliance experience, including leadership experience, preferably in Health IT, SaaS, or medical devices.
• Expert knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and state and federal data privacy laws such as CCPA/CPRA.
• Experience developing compliance policies, procedures, training programs, and risk controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.

Nice to have

• Certification in Healthcare Compliance, such as CHC.
• Experience with FDA regulations for digital health tools or Software as a Medical Device.
• Knowledge of ONC Cures Act Final Rule requirements, including information blocking and interoperability.
