What you will do

• Define and drive the overall platform logging and diagnostics strategy for AOSP-based systems.
• Build infrastructure for crash, ANR, and kernel panic analysis to enable rapid root cause identification.
• Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools for field quality and platform health.
• Lead incident reviews, postmortems, and corrective action initiatives to improve MTTR and MTTD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, QE, Security, and Product to ensure platform reliability.
• Design secure logging mechanisms that protect PII and comply with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Android native development with expertise in Java/Kotlin.
• Strong experience developing Android/AOSP system software and debugging Linux Kernel issues.
• Proven track record in designing logging, diagnostics, or observability systems.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, and/or Kotlin.
• Experience analyzing large-scale production incidents and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android Framework components and low-level diagnostics (Perfetto, Systrace, ftrace).
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or building crash analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-native logging solutions and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience in consumer electronics product development.
