UI Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home or flexibly.

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 base salary per year, with potential incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build elegant, efficient software solutions for complex product and scaling challenges.
• Develop polished, scalable web applications and customer-facing user interfaces.
• Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to solve customer problems.
• Write readable, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality, knowledge sharing, and team velocity.
• Own problem-solving end to end across multiple systems and services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional programming experience building cloud applications and services.
• Strong front-end architecture experience with user interfaces, design systems, component libraries, and reusable UI patterns.
• Deep familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React and related front-end frameworks or libraries.
• Experience with AI-powered solutions and a demonstrated interest in using AI to improve team performance.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, or Python, cloud storage solutions, AWS, Datadog, and GitHub CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
