What you will do

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the coordination and execution of external audits as the primary point of contact.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and monthly close deliverables.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations to identify trends and root causes.
• Support the monthly consolidation of multiple entities and prepare management reporting packages.
• Lead initiatives to enhance reporting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or statutory reporting.
• Proven experience supporting or leading external audit processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Active CPA license or progress toward certification.
• Public accounting (audit/assurance) experience.
• Insurance industry experience (life, annuity, or related).
• Experience with multi-entity reporting structures.
