What you will do

• Lead sourcing for assigned commodities/program areas, including RFQ development, supplier selection, negotiation, and PO management through acknowledgement.
• Act as the primary interface between suppliers and customers to align requirements, timelines, and quality standards across the supply chain.
• Own demand fulfillment accountability, optimizing for cost and schedule while maintaining quality.
• Manage supplier performance using KPIs and performance data to drive continuous improvement and root-cause resolution with Supplier Quality.
• Provide tactical support on customer and supplier contracts to ensure commercial and technical requirements are executed and upheld.
• Identify process gaps and build/improve operational workflows; maintain a tight feedback loop with internal supplier quality for swift issue resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of procurement or supply chain execution experience owning a direct commodity (e.g., machined components, electronics, sheet metal, raw material, or PCB/PCBA).
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong project management skills to juggle multiple accounts and priorities with proactive, detail-oriented communication.
• Comfort interpreting engineering data (drawings, GD&T, specifications) to understand manufacturing requirements.
• Experience building cross-functional relationships with engineers and internal supply chain stakeholders.
• ERP-related systems proficiency and purchasing/planning experience.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting GD&T and component profiles to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Track record of successful NPI negotiations without prior purchase/sourcing data.
• Supplier performance management experience influencing KPI-driven improvements.
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
• Experience growing and developing a supply base.
