What you will do

• Procure raw materials, components, and indirect goods to support manufacturing operations.
• Issue and maintain purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service to secure competitive agreements.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align purchasing with build schedules and select suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, and/or procurement.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material flow, and ability to read BOMs and engineering drawings.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Intuitive) and Microsoft Office/Google Sheets.

Nice to have

• Certification in Purchasing/Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
