TL;DR
Sr. Data Analyst - Finance (SQL/BI): Building and maintaining finance data models and automated executive-ready BI dashboards with an accent on data governance, forecasting/budgeting datasets, and cross-functional alignment of disparate sources into a single source of truth. Focus on solving complex data issues with advanced SQL and modern data stack tools while ensuring financial data integrity for board, investor, and regulatory reporting.
Location: Fully remote within the U.S. (preference for PST/MST/CST; EST considered if open to working PST hours). Sponsorship: No. Work location must be in the U.S. and eligibility requires active U.S. Citizenship or green card holder residing in the U.S. for 3+ consecutive years (Public Trust background check required).
Salary: $120,000-$130,000 annually

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models from the data lake for financial forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.
- Create, launch, and maintain automated executive-ready BI dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to build and manage data pipelines and resolve complex data quality issues.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Data Engineering, and Product to align sources (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, Oracle) into a single source of truth for Finance.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data for board meetings, investor relations, and regulatory reporting.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial analytics (ideally in B2B SaaS).
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex optimized queries, window functions, and large-scale data manipulation.
- Experience with modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) plus BI/dashboarding tools (Tableau strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to independently investigate issues and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S.-based eligibility: active U.S. Citizenship or green card holder residing in the U.S. for 3+ consecutive years; eligible for Public Trust background check; no sponsorship.

- Python or R proficiency for advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
