Salary: $149,900 – $208,300 (USD) / CAD $157,400 – $196,800 (CAD) depending on location.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain transaction monitoring and sanctions screening models.
- Use SQL and analytical tools to analyze customer behavior, transaction patterns, and risk ratings.
- Develop bespoke rules and logic to address specific AML and sanctions risks.
- Partner with Compliance, Product, and Data teams to translate regulatory requirements into analytical frameworks.
- Evaluate and tune detection models to minimize false positives while maintaining regulatory rigor.
- Document model configurations, thresholds, and performance monitoring artifacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, Engineering, Statistics, Math).
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in FCC or AML/Sanctions roles.
- Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in Python or similar analytical tools.
- Deep understanding of AML and Sanctions principles and regulations.
- Experience developing and maintaining machine learning or rule-based detection models.
- Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with modern ML tooling such as scikit-learn or XGBoost.
- Experience with model risk management and validation processes.
