Salary: $253,000 - $380,000 (U.S. annual range)

What you will do
- Lead the global compliance function, serving as the primary point of contact for regulators, law enforcement, and external counsel.
- Design and mature the global AML and FinCrime compliance framework, including policies, transaction monitoring, and reporting processes.
- Serve as the named Canadian AML Compliance Officer (CAMLO) and oversee compliance obligations under PCMLTFA, FINTRAC, and other international regimes.
- Develop and implement compliance strategies for content moderation and charitable solicitation laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Architect a global risk assessment framework and lead cross-functional preparedness for regulatory audits and examinations.
- Influence executive leadership and drive alignment on complex compliance strategies across Trust & Safety, Legal, and Product teams.
Requirements
- 12-15 years of compliance experience in fintech, payments, or highly regulated financial services.
- Deep subject-matter expertise in AML, BSA/ATF, and FinCrime, including hands-on experience with FINTRAC, TRACFIN, and FinCEN expectations.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF requirements (PCMLTFA, PCMLTFR) is required.
- Proven experience serving as a named compliance officer (CAMLO, BSA Officer, or equivalent) with regulatory accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to engage directly with regulators at executive levels and manage complex examinations.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and capable of operating in a hybrid environment based in San Francisco.
Nice to have
- JD, CAMS, or CRCM credentials.
- Experience with content moderation frameworks like the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
- Background in charitable fundraising law and multi-state solicitation compliance.
