What you will do

• Serve as a strategic compliance partner for product launches, partnerships, and marketing collateral across lending, payments, and deposit products.
• Design and scale AI-enabled compliance workflows for monitoring, control testing, and issue management.
• Own regulatory change management in partnership with Government & Regulatory Affairs.
• Translate complex financial regulations into clear guidance, controls, and training for cross-functional teams.
• Oversee third-party risk assessments and vendor onboarding for financial services partners.
• Act as a key liaison for banking partners, auditors, and regulatory examinations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of compliance experience in a regulated financial institution, fintech, or payments company.
• Deep expertise in consumer protection regulations (TILA, TISA, ECOA, FCRA, Reg E, UDAAP, NACHA, etc.).
• Proven track record of scaling compliance programs and using AI tools to enhance risk identification.
• Experience advising Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams on product development and strategic partnerships.
• Strong ability to distill complex regulations into practical, risk-based guidance.
• Must be able to work from the office 2-3 days per week in Denver, San Francisco, or New York.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking-as-a-service (BaaS) and sponsor bank partnerships.
• Direct experience supporting internal/external audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Notion AI for workflow automation.
