Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack): Integrating data activation capabilities into the hirify.global dashboard with an accent on system integration, UI, and backend scalability. Focus on building end-to-end features, mentoring engineers, and leading major project rollouts.

Location: Hybrid (Toronto, ON). Must be able to work in-person in the Toronto office 2 days per week.

Salary: $167,548 — $209,435 CAD

What you will do

• Contribute to the full tech stack comprising Ruby on Rails, Typescript, Vue, and AWS.
• Integrate data activation capabilities into the hirify.global product across UI, authentication, billing, and data models.
• Collaborate with product teams and customers to design features that make hirify.global a one-stop shop for data activation.
• Lead major projects from research spikes and design documents to implementation and rollout.
• Mentor early-career engineers and provide project-level leadership across teams and time zones.

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one interpreted language such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on experience with at least one compiled language such as Go, Java, C++, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and proven experience in system integration and API development.
• Familiarity with leading cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Must be based in Toronto, Ontario, and able to work in-office 2 days per week.
