Staff Demo Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada; quarterly cross-border travel is required for conferences and company offsites.

Annual base salary: USD $135,000–$196,000 for US-based roles; CAD $129,000–$187,000 for Canada-based roles.

What you will do

• Set the technical vision, roadmap, and long-term architecture for the demo platform.
• Design shared demo infrastructure with templates, automated provisioning and resets, data generation, and observability.
• Build sample applications and integrations across hirify.global products for demos and enablement programs.
• Support high-visibility demos for launches, keynotes, conferences, and strategic customer opportunities.
• Drive AI-assisted tooling for demo preparation, validation, and maintenance.
• Partner with Engineering Security, lead architecture and code reviews, and mentor Demo Engineers and Senior Demo Engineers.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, technical marketing, DevOps, solutions architecture, or demo engineering.
• Experience in cybersecurity, identity, Privileged Access Management, developer tools, or a related technical domain.
• Experience building full-stack and automation solutions with technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, or Python, and designing systems that other engineers can build on.
• Experience designing and operating infrastructure using infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, device trust, passwordless authentication, and passkeys.
• Ability to balance speed, reliability, cost, and security and explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners.
• Experience creating interactive SaaS demos and guided product experiences using platforms such as Reprise, Navattic, Walnut, or Arcade.

Nice to have

• Experience with MDM tools such as Jamf, live event demos, utilization analysis, AI-assisted tooling, or MCP servers.
