TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Healthcare): Providing strategic legal advice on healthcare regulations and laws to support enterprise health benefit management solutions with an accent on regulatory change management, licensing, and provider contracting. Focus on identifying legal risks, ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Location: Hybrid (must be able to work at least 3 days per week in NYC, Denver, or Charlotte offices)
Salary: $115,600 – $182,500 USD

What you will do
- Provide legal support for regulatory change management by monitoring and interpreting federal and state healthcare legislation.
- Advise on regulatory compliance matters including medical benefits, privacy, security, and human resources issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate provider agreements and related amendments.
- Manage organizational licensing activities, including applications, renewals, and compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Partner with compliance, government affairs, and operations teams to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Develop clear legal guidance and recommendations for senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate Degree (JD) and active bar admission in at least one state.
- 3+ years of legal attorney experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture.
- Ability to work on-site in NYC, Denver, or Charlotte at least 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience working with PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers), medical TPAs, and related laws.
