TL;DR

Senior Compliance Counsel (Medtech): Providing comprehensive legal regulatory advice and compliance guidance within the healthcare industry with an accent on adherence to federal and state healthcare laws. Location: Must be based in Libertyville, IL, US (Hybrid: 4 days a week in office required)

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Drive and enhance compliance strategy to align with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and interpret healthcare regulations including Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and Stark Law.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and controls across Americas business units.
  • Conduct internal investigations of suspected compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs for all associates.
  • Manage third-party due diligence and oversight to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school required.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of legal regulatory experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • 3-5 years of in-house experience, preferably with a global healthcare manufacturer.
  • License to practice law in Illinois or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Illinois.
  • Must be in office 4 days a week in Libertyville, IL.
