What you will do

• Design and execute a multi-state licensing strategy across servicing, brokering, and money transmitter licenses.
• Architect an exam readiness framework to ensure continuous preparation for state regulatory exams and bank audits.
• Build scalable workflows for applications and renewals using platforms like NMLS and Brico.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for state regulators to proactively resolve issues.
• Develop a maturity roadmap to move the licensing function from manual/reactive to automated/proactive.
• Mentor and lead a team of compliance professionals, setting clear performance expectations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in licensing, exam management, or compliance operations within fintech or banking.
• Proven track record of leading multi-state licensing portfolios and regulatory exam cycles end-to-end.
• Deep knowledge of state licensing frameworks, NMLS processes, and consumer lending regulations.
• Experience maturing a compliance function from reactive to scalable.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree is a plus.
