What you will do

• Assist the Publicity team with daily media relations efforts focused on sports, news, and talk programming.
• Monitor and track media coverage across print, broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Compile regular media coverage reports, press recaps, and communications metrics.
• Conduct research on media outlets, journalists, industry trends, and competitive activity.
• Draft and proofread press materials including press releases, media alerts, and reporter pitches.
• Support media events, interviews, and press announcements.

Requirements

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
• Currently enrolled as a university student or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or Broadcasting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Passion for sports and news media landscapes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Experience with media monitoring tools like Muck Rack or Critical Mention.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini.
