What you will do

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and estimate-at-completion projections.
• Monitor project expenditures and analyze budget performance against approved funding.
• Prepare routine cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and executive financial summaries.
• Support project managers with cost forecasting, contingency management, and financial decision-making.
• Evaluate project trends, change orders, and potential cost impacts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with client financial controls and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field or 6 years of equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in project cost analysis, project controls, or capital project financial management.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and change management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience interpreting project financial information and communicating cost performance to leadership.
• Must be able to work on-site at client locations in Alexandria or Shreveport, LA.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience supporting electric transmission and distribution capital programs with an EPC firm.
• Proficiency with SAP, Maximo, Power BI, Primavera P6, or Cognos.
• Understanding of earned value management principles.
• Professional certifications such as AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Cost Technician (CCT).
