What you will do
- Design, develop, and optimize image processing and computer vision algorithms for semiconductor photomask inspection.
- Research and evaluate new approaches in image processing, signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning to solve real-world problems.
- Prototype and validate algorithms in MATLAB or Python, then translate successful approaches into production-quality C++ software on Linux.
- Analyze complex image data to identify performance bottlenecks and improve defect detection accuracy, sensitivity, and throughput.
- Use parallel and GPU-accelerated computing to build high-performance algorithm solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full lifecycle from concept exploration and proof-of-concept to productization and support.
Requirements
- 1β4 years of work experience in image processing development (e.g., spectral/spatial filtering, model-based methods, inverse problems).
- Hands-on experience prototyping algorithms using MATLAB or Python and implementing algorithms in C++ on Linux (highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of innovative research in conventional/traditional image processing and solid image processing fundamentals.
- Hands-on industry experience solving computer vision challenges.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (international and domestic).
- Hybrid work requirement: be in the office 3 days a week in Ann Arbor, MI.
