What you will do

  • Manage a varied caseload of domestic and commercial subsidence claims.
  • Assess, validate, and settle or decline claims within delegated authority.
  • Apply sound technical reasoning and insurance liability principles to all cases.
  • Diagnose structural defects and causes of damage using evidence from surveyors and specialists.
  • Ensure all service level agreements are consistently met.
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders to provide reassurance and clarity throughout the claims process.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United Kingdom.
  • Recognised professional building qualification (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStructE, MCABE) or active progression toward one.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural defects and subsidence-related issues.
  • Experience within the insurance industry and understanding of liability considerations.
  • Confident negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based environment.
