Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Manage and develop a homeowner book of business to meet growth, retention, and profitability objectives.
  • Evaluate risk characteristics and analyze account performance to make sound underwriting decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-volume agency partners.
  • Ensure all underwriting activities adhere to state guidelines and internal compliance procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to facilitate efficient business transitions.
  • Recommend solutions for risks outside of assigned authority levels to senior management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of personal property underwriting experience required.
  • Must be based in the United States (excluding specific states listed in the location section).
  • Strong understanding of industry practices, standards, and underwriting concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage high-volume workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a tech-forward or high-growth insurance environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO guidelines and rating plans.
  • Insurance designations such as AU, AINS, or CPCU.
  • Experience participating in carrier book rolls.
