What you will do

• Lead the execution of ML, NLP, and LLM deliverables to support corporate AI strategies.
• Develop and deploy custom AI/ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems.
• Mentor and coach team members while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Champion ethical AI practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, data privacy, and security.
• Ensure AI systems meet all technical and business requirements, as well as SLA specifications.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Madison, WI, USA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of project leadership experience using Agile and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFE).
• Advanced proficiency in Python, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience designing and deploying AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.
• Strong understanding of ethical considerations and bias mitigation in AI systems.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and deploying Gen AI solutions at scale.
• Expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, SLMs, teacher-student frameworks, and model distillation.
• Familiarity with human-in-the-loop methods for LLM alignment (e.g., DPO).
• Experience with Agentic framework platforms and deploying agentic-based solutions.
