TL;DR

Operational and Compliance Support Specialist (Healthcare): Providing operational and compliance support for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) with an accent on audit readiness, training, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on maintaining SOPs, supporting federal audits (DoDIG, GAO), and ensuring consistent policy implementation across Military Treatment Facilities.

Location: Remote (USA). Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Public Trust clearance.

What you will do

  • Support Sustainment Action Team (SAT) initiatives and update operational workflows for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with DoDIG, GAO, and IPA on audit activities, including reviewing sampling packages from Military Treatment Facilities.
  • Review quarterly compliance checklists and Key Supporting Documents to ensure adherence to DHA UBO policies.
  • Manage UBO Helpdesk operations, coordinating ticket assignments and providing end-user support.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, presentations, and professional communication products.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and training delivery across more than 130 Military Treatment Facilities.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in compliance programs, healthcare operations, audit readiness, or program support.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), or Military Health System (MHS).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
  • Strong professional communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder briefings.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience supporting Defense Health Agency (DHA) Uniform Business Office (UBO) programs.
  • Knowledge of NDAA Section 716 implementation activities.
  • Familiarity with Patient Identification Process (PIP) and Profile and Health Plan (P&HP) processes.
