What you will do

• Drive overnight editorial coverage and make key decisions for web and app platforms.
• Liaise with the wider newsroom to set the early morning agenda.
• Commission stories, blogs, and analysis for digital journalists and TV correspondents.
• Manage and develop a team of journalists.
• Ensure all content meets high standards of accuracy and legal compliance.
• Align digital output with the broader hirify.global News strategy and audience development vision.

Requirements

• Significant newsroom and management experience required.
• Sharp editorial judgement and experience handling breaking news scenarios.
• Strong legal knowledge and best-practice experience for signing off sensitive journalism.
• Ability to multi-task, identify priorities, and work under pressure.
• Flexibility to adjust work patterns as events require.
• Must be able to work onsite in London (Osterley).

• Subbing experience.
