TL;DR
Chief of Staff (AI/Operations): Running internal strategy and operational execution to accelerate company scaling with an accent on performance management and KPI frameworks. Focus on embedding AI into internal operations, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring alignment between the CEO's vision and execution.

Location: Hybrid in New York, New York, United States

Salary: $190K–$200K + equity

What you will do

  • Partner with the CEO to translate broad vision into quarterly priorities and operating plans.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive performance management framework including goal-setting and review cycles.
  • Establish departmental KPIs and build data-driven reporting dashboards to monitor operational health.
  • Lead the integration of AI tools and workflows into internal operations to increase organizational leverage.
  • Drive high-priority strategic initiatives across the organization without formal authority.
  • Assist with board-level reporting and financial modeling for future fundraising.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in startup operations, Chief of Staff, BizOps, management consulting (MBB), or investment banking.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operational systems in high-growth environments.
  • Practical experience deploying AI in operational settings to create business leverage.
  • Experience establishing KPI systems and performance review cycles from scratch.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling a startup from Series A to D.
  • Broad exposure across finance, people, legal, and sales operations.
  • Experience with modern startup tools like Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot.
  • Background in supporting fundraising or board reporting.
