What you will do

• Lead the plant Quality team and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and union leadership to resolve issues and improve manufacturing culture.
• Manage customer satisfaction, external audits, and plant-to-corporate quality communication.
• Oversee PPAP approvals, launch readiness, and change control processes to protect product quality.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts using Red-X, OpEx, and GMS BIQ systems to reduce costs and improve performance.
• Deliver key quality metrics including IPPM, PPM, scrap, and IPTV.
• Manage departmental budgets and workforce planning in alignment with enterprise objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
• Significant experience in high-volume manufacturing and quality management systems.
• Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, driving results through others.
• Demonstrated problem-solving capability using structured methodologies like Red X, OpEx, or Six Sigma.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Must have valid US work authorization; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience leading quality operations in propulsion, engine, machining, or component manufacturing sites.
• Strong understanding of GPS, GMS, and BIQ systems.
• Experience working with DRE, PET, and MEC teams.
• Thermal management experience.
