What you will do

• Set up and conduct engine dynamometer testing, including instrumentation installation and real-time monitoring.
• Configure data loggers and acquisition systems, selecting and installing appropriate sensors and managing data files.
• Perform application-level testing, including engine installation in equipment and operation of outdoor power machinery.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and disassemble/reassemble engines for inspection and modification with high accuracy.
• Maintain test cells, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring and instrumentation systems.
• Generate comprehensive test reports with analysis, conclusions, plots, and photo documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Engine Technology or related field preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of progressive hands-on experience in engine testing, dynamometer operation, or advanced mechanical diagnostics.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with engines, dynamometers, and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to interpret technical data and adapt test procedures in real time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for interfacing effectively with engineering teams.

• Experience mentoring or training junior technicians.
