What you will do

• Develop and maintain emergency planning and fire safety policies, instructions, and standards.
• Validate incident, emergency, and rescue plans through the facilitation of drills and exercises.
• Conduct inspections and audits of work areas to ensure compliance with fire and emergency regulations.
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for work activities.
• Coach and mentor individuals and teams in emergency preparedness and response.
• Provide fire risk assessments and report on fire safety-related queries.

Requirements

• Must have Fire Risk Assessment Certification Level 3 or Level 4 for Complex Buildings.
• Must hold CCNSG safety passport.
• Proven experience in a construction health and safety role, fire safety role, blue light responder role, or armed forces leadership role.
• Strong understanding of emergency planning, response, and fire safety regulations.
• Ability to work onsite in Bridgwater, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting on-site Fire & Rescue teams.
• Specific HPC (Hinkley Point C) training certifications (e.g., IC, EM, TMIC/FREC 3).
• City & Guilds Level 4 Award in Plan, Manage and Review Legislative and Safety Compliance for Work in Confined Spaces.
