Senior Backend Engineer (Laravel)

Location: Hamburg, Germany

Salary: €70,000–€85,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and deliver efficient backend solutions for retail operations across hirify.global shops.
• Build and maintain internal and external RESTful APIs for backend products.
• Integrate external merchant partners and support data transformation, enrichment, and quality-gate processes.
• Translate business problems into well-designed, planned, and deliverable technical solutions.
• Apply agile development practices, including test-driven development and pair programming.
• Take end-to-end ownership of deployment, monitoring, automated testing, and incident response.

Requirements

• Recent hands-on experience with Laravel.
• Experience developing synchronous APIs and working with message queue systems such as SQS or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, MySQL, Redis, or equivalent technologies.
• Ability to independently perform complex technical tasks with minimal guidance.
• Strong ownership, responsibility, motivation, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multiply team efforts and ensure technically sound results.
