Senior Software Engineer (Builder)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; based in the Copenhagen office with a default of four days per week in office

What you will do

• Own product work end-to-end, from framing problems and defining scope to shipping significant features.
• Build full-stack functionality with a backend focus across a large, mature codebase.
• Make architectural decisions and solve complex scalability, correctness, and integration challenges.
• Contribute to one of the ACE, STAT, or Finance teams, covering communication and child development, staffing and attendance, or billing and payments.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers through pairing, reviews, chapters, and guilds.
• Participate in the shared quality rotation for production errors and flaky tests.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience operating with autonomy and ambiguity.
• Previous ownership of features from problem definition through delivery.
• Experience working effectively in a large, mature codebase and making architectural decisions.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with backend depth and a technology-agnostic approach.
• Ability to mentor colleagues, communicate clearly, and keep work visible in a self-directed team.
• Willingness to work from the Copenhagen office, with four office days as the default.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about AI and agentic coding as tools for software development.
• Experience with Scala or another unfamiliar technology stack.
