Senior Software Engineer & Team Lead (PHP)

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland

Salary: 125–209 PLN/hour + VAT on B2B contract, or 17,500–29,200 PLN gross on a permanent contract

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing engineering team.
• Drive technical strategies and initiatives that improve product quality, scalability, reliability, and usability.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to shape the roadmap and deliver relevant features.
• Improve product delivery processes, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement practices.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and priorities against business objectives.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted development tools across the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as PHP or JavaScript/TypeScript, with relevant framework experience.
• Experience with relational databases such as MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of scalable application design principles and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with agile projects, KPIs, and OKRs.
• Fluent English required.
