Solutions Architect (Java)

What you will do

• Design technical architectures and high-level solutions for web-based products, digital platforms, and customer experiences.
• Advise business analysts, project managers, Scrum Masters, development teams, and clients throughout discovery, planning, and delivery.
• Design and support integrations between multiple systems, APIs, microservices, eCommerce services, digital asset management platforms, and product configurators.
• Prepare technical documentation, estimates, roadmaps, governance materials, and code reviews.
• Support difficult implementation challenges, infrastructure issue triage, secure coding practices, CI/CD, and development efficiency.
• Use agentic AI tools, primarily Claude, for research, solution discovery, documentation, and software delivery while assessing their limitations.

Requirements

• Commercial software development experience with HTML/JavaScript or Java across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong technical background with Java/JEE, Spring, XML, Maven, and Tomcat.
• Experience designing web applications, integrating APIs and microservices, and working with Agile Scrum processes.
• Strong logical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and clear prompts for AI tools.
• Experience leading, managing, and mentoring developers, including line management of lead developers.
• Experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript is desirable; business rules management systems or content management systems such as Adobe AEM are also desirable.
