Salary: $171,000 - $247,000 per year.

What you will do
- Lead the development and implementation of safety standards and conformance strategies for autonomous vehicle deployment.
- Serve as the primary subject-matter expert and representative for regulators, industry coalitions, and standards bodies.
- Translate evolving U.S. and international regulatory changes into actionable guidance for engineering and operations teams.
- Represent the company's safety approach to customers and OEM partners.
- Manage complex, cross-functional programs involving legal, government relations, and engineering departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or regulatory roles within transportation or safety-critical industries.
- Expert knowledge of automotive safety policy, regulation, and standards.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical and compliance information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs and external stakeholder relationships.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment in Pittsburgh, PA.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with ADAS or autonomous vehicle compliance and certification.
- Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks like UNECE.
- Experience working with federal agencies or public-private partnerships.
- Familiarity with safety challenges of ML-based systems.
- Advanced degree in a relevant technical or regulatory discipline.
