Software Engineer Intern (Backend)

Location: Onsite in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, implementation, testing, and post-release monitoring.
• Write readable, well-tested backend code and collaborate with QA on high-quality deliverables.
• Use AI-assisted tools and LLM-powered workflows as part of daily engineering practice.
• Identify opportunities to reduce toil, improve accuracy, and accelerate delivery with AI.
• Raise risks, blockers, edge cases, and tradeoffs early while contributing ideas to product and process improvements.
• Work with production systems handling billions of transactions and real-time fraud detection decisions.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, plus proficiency in at least one backend language.
• Practical experience experimenting with coding assistants, LLM-based workflows, or prompt engineering.
• Ability to think about user needs and business outcomes, work through ambiguity, and ask effective questions.
• High integrity and responsible handling of sensitive systems and data.
• Good written and verbal English is required.
