Senior Software Development Engineer (Back-end) - Paradox - Da Nang

Location: Da Nang, Vietnam; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

What you will do

• Design and deliver secure, scalable, performant, and observable backend product features.
• Own projects from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and follow-through.
• Drive AI-agent and automation adoption across requirements analysis, risk assessment, design reviews, test planning, and defect identification.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
• Use production metrics and service health signals to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and support safe launches.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable, high-availability cloud products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, secure design, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, automated, and regression testing, as well as production incident resolution.
• Experience with cloud systems and data stores, including AWS, Redis or Aurora, and RabbitMQ or similar event streaming and queue systems.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills and availability for the hybrid Da Nang work arrangement are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and Django.
• Experience defining monitoring and observability strategies with tools such as Datadog.
• Experience driving AI and automation tool adoption across the software development lifecycle.
